Millenias of medicinal history
Bone broth is an ancient natural supplement that was originally invented to make better use of game than just meat and leather. People during that time noticed that bone was hard to chew and found a way to soften the bones by boiling them in water heated with hot stones. When bones were simmered carefully this way, they released large amounts of nutrients to the water and bone broth was born.
Quality bone broth powder is the result of a careful and long process.
Traditionally, bone broth is simmered for more than a single day so that the bones let out as much active nutrients as possible.
Today, with more advanced cooking methods the temperature is easier to control, shortening the simmering process to 24 hours. A long and lengthy simmering softens the bone tissue, releases collagen and melts the valuable bone marrow into the already nutrient rich broth. Other active ingredients of bone broth are ofcourse gelatin, different amino acids like proline, glycine and arginine, chondroitin sulfate and different minerals like calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium.
The Arctic Might bone broth powder also has bone marrow included and is nutritionally different than other bone broth supplements. While other bone broths have usually only protein and some fats, our bone broth powder has the nutrient dense bone marrow, which makes it a powerful supplement and a delicious addition to any food or drink.
In addition, the broth powder is made from semi-wild Nordic reindeers that are herded in the vast natural areas of Lapland and live completely on organic plant foods growing in the wildlands.
Our broth is also freeze-dried and is without added flavours, salt, sugar or other additives to maintain it's original full taste. The only processing methods used in our bone broth is simmering of the bones and freese-drying the broth.
The reindeers are semi-wild animals that eat only berries and flora from the nature. They are not fed per se, but keep themselves nourished through foraging. Reindeers are also amongst the only creatures on the planet that can eat and absorb the nutrient rich lichen growing in the treeless arctic biomes of Lapland. This is why they have a habitat without predators, as no other animals could survive there.
Unlike other bone broths on the market, the reindeers are semi-wild animals equal to game. They are herded in Lapland, Northern Finland and consume nutrient dense flora that are able to survive the harsh conditions of the nearly treeless arctic biome. The Arctic Might bone broth powder also contain the bone marrow from the simmered bones.
